The Ultimate Game of Thrones Book Tag

I missed doing a book tag and I recently found this fun GOT book tag on The Orangutan Librarian‘s blog. Feel free to do it too!

Crime and Punishment. I mean, I tried reading it and I started it pretty ambitious but it was an impossible battle for me. It’s just not my type and probably I won’t try reading any Dostoyevsky any time soon. I might give Demons a shot tho’ but I’m not really sure about that.

I personally love the relationship between Scarlett and Tella from the Caraval series by Stephanie Garber. I’ve read many books with strong family ties but this one must be one of my favorites or one that stuck with me for the longest. I love them both as characters but also the series is a must-read!

During winter I  usually love reading holiday love stories and my favorite one so far is Let it Snow by John Green, it’s an anthology of three love stories that’s super adorable and they actually connect which was a factor that actually made me love it this much.

Fight Club 2. I had some high expectations, I’m pretty sure lots of people love Fight Club and knowing there’s a sequel to the story and that it’s a comic book too it just makes you more excited. Joke’s on me because it was awful lol. It started promising but as you get more into it it gets worse and super weird so stay away from it.

Whenever I think of the word “emotions” the only books that come into my mind are We Were Liars by E. Lockhart and All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. It’s difficult to pick just one.

One of the books I will always feel indebted to will be Wizard of Oz as I believe this was one of the first fictional books that made me fall in love with literature and it’s forever one of my favorite children books that I will surely read my kids in the future.

For real now I think I’d die cause I’d move too slow, I wish I could be as cool as Arya or Brienne.

I took this quiz and apparently I belong to the Lannisters:

Hey, guess what? You’re rich! Congratulations. You can buy all the wine and pleasant company you want, which is very useful as the life of a Lannister isn’t exactly stress-free. You are ambitious, good at politics, and generally loyal to family members, at least in public. But you’re also under a lot of pressure, so when things go wrong, they can go VERY wrong, very quickly. Maybe consider investing in a privy door with a lock?

This was a super fun book tag, I’m looking forward to doing many more.

30 Days Book Challenge: DAY 30!!!!

Ok so this is the final post and frankly, I’m gonna miss doing this. I had a lot of fun and it made me think of so many things that I could write, I consider it really helpful. I know I messed up a little in the days when I was too busy (I swear I was super busy!) and I missed writing on that day but it’s alright, I resumed it. Thank you for understanding, lol.

So here is the final challenge:

Your favorite book of all time

I don’t even know what I should pick. Of course the first thing I thought of was 1984 by George Orwell but I would like to avoid writing about the same books twice in a challenge so I think I’m gonna go with another one of my favorites, TRAINSPOTTING!!!
I’m a huge fan of Trainspotting and I could rewatch the movies constantly. The second one was the perfect addition and I was crazy obsessed with it.

The book was awesome too. It deserves all the fame and even though I only read it after I watched the first movie, I think of all of them being equally amazing.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 26

A book that changed your opinion about something

I’ve read a book about introverts and their character traits and studies (because obviously I’m a professional introvert and I thought this book would be helpful). It’s called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. I learned that it’s ok to be quiet and it’s ok not to be involved in everything possible and it’s ok to take time off to recharge. Don’t let people make you feel like being an introvert is a sickness. You’re good!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 21

The first novel you remember reading.

It was either Heidi, The Wizard of Oz or Charlotte’s Web. Anyways, I’ve read them all in the same period of time and I don’t think I can ever forget them. I still remember snippets of what I imagined while reading them.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 13.

Your favorite writer

This one’s difficult. My top favorite writers in no particular order are Lang Leav, Colleen Hoover, Stephen King and Haruki Murakami. Now if you’ve read any of their books (or more) you would understand why I’m so indecisive.

Lang Leav inspires me to write my own poems and she’s the only one that got to my heart through a few words and never forget her and also her books have the cutest covers ever.

Colleen Hoover illuminated me and I realised I love the new adult genre (tho I haven’t read many new adult books). She’s just something else for me and if I’m in the mood for a couple to die for and a great love story she’s my first option.

I love Stephen King for being the only one to give me the creeps. I love that he writes a lot and you always have something to read from him. His horror books are so well balanced that no matter how long they are you won’t ever get bored because he knows how to write so the reader is entertained constantly.

Now Haruki Murakami will always have a special place in my heart for his literature. I’ve read almost all of his books (I’m missing Pinball 1973 and the 1q84 series)but if you want something different and I really mean different. Different like super unique and creative that you have never thought about, go for it. Go read Hard Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World or Kafka on the Shore for starters. I still am extremely impressed by him and I miss reading one of his books cause it always gave me such a nice vibe that I only found in his books. By saying this I might even consider jumping on the 1q84 next.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 8

Most overrated book.

Frankenstein. I hated it and I didn’t even give it a second thought when I had to choose one. This book is the definition of an overrated book that’s boring and it sucks the whole life out of you cause it’s SO BORING.

Do you imagine it being creepy? Well it ain’t. Not one bit.

You can read my review here.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 6.

A book that makes you sad

I can’t believe I get all the feels when I see this one on the shelf. All the Bright Places. It made me cry and it made me so sad I just couldn’t get over it for a while. It was just like I was in her place and his death happened in real life. I also really thought Finn could make an awesome boyfriend and I got attached to him I don’t even know how. FINN DESERVED BETTER, JENNIFER! Maybe if something this tragic wouldn’t have happened I wouldn’t have loved him this much but I really believe it would’ve been better for all the readers if he wouldn’t have died and make this beautiful “poetry” out of it. Like it wasn’t enough that he was dead he kept being awesome even after he died. This one’s a page turner alright?!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 2.

A book that you’ve read more than 3 times.

George Orwell’s 1984 all the way. I bought it and then I read it and I read it again and I skimmed it afterwards. It destroyed me and I loved it and I made all my friends read it so they will be destroyed too and everyone was happy and it all went well. You should go read it too now. Seriously. I’m not a fan of politics or anything like that but THIS ONE IS A GEM!!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 1.

I love book challenges and I was really in the mood for one so I really hope I can finish it, wish me luck.

1. Best book you read last year

It’s so hard to decide since I’ve read so many cool books last year but I’m just gonna tell you about one of them and that is REAADYYY PLAAAYYEER ONNEEE! Yes I yell that
out loud.

If you want to read only one book until the year is over, then let it be this one. This is what I would call an entertaining book. I was really pumped up when I’ve seen that there’s a movie coming out soon but I’m still not sure if I should watch it or not but I know myself and even though I say that now, I’m pretty sure I’m gonna watch it. Maybe I’m gonna let you guys know how it was.
