The Ultimate Game of Thrones Book Tag

I missed doing a book tag and I recently found this fun GOT book tag on The Orangutan Librarian‘s blog. Feel free to do it too!

PART I

“We DO NOT SOW”- A BOOK YOU WOULD NOT BE WILLING TO INVEST IN

61he4UHB8dL._SY879_

Crime and Punishment. I mean, I tried reading it and I started it pretty ambitious but it was an impossible battle for me. It’s just not my type and probably I won’t try reading any Dostoyevsky any time soon. I might give Demons a shot tho’ but I’m not really sure about that.

“FAMILY. DUTY. HONOR.” – A BOOK ABOUT STRONG FAMILY TIES

51IDDaYVlRL._SY679_

I personally love the relationship between Scarlett and Tella from the Caraval series by Stephanie Garber. I’ve read many books with strong family ties but this one must be one of my favorites or one that stuck with me for the longest. I love them both as characters but also the series is a must-read!

“WINTER IS COMING” – YOUR FAVORITE WINTER READ

71mmvCs3V6L._SY679_

During winter I  usually love reading holiday love stories and my favorite one so far is Let it Snow by John Green, it’s an anthology of three love stories that’s super adorable and they actually connect which was a factor that actually made me love it this much.

“OURS IS THE FURY” – A BOOK THAT MADE YOU FURIOUS

OursisFury_2052

Fight Club 2. I had some high expectations, I’m pretty sure lots of people love Fight Club and knowing there’s a sequel to the story and that it’s a comic book too it just makes you more excited. Joke’s on me because it was awful lol. It started promising but as you get more into it it gets worse and super weird so stay away from it.

“FIRE AND BLOOD” – A BOOK THAT PRODUCED STRONG EMOTIONS IN YOU

Free-Shipping-House-Targaryen-of-King-s-Landing-Fire-and-Blood-A-Song-of-Ice-and

Whenever I think of the word “emotions” the only books that come into my mind are We Were Liars by E. Lockhart and All The Bright Places by Jennifer Niven. It’s difficult to pick just one.

“A LANNISTER ALWAYS PAYS HIS DEBTS” – A BOOK YOU FEEL INDEBTED TO

31a701c43bbf7cd9e5973fd79c7671ec

One of the books I will always feel indebted to will be Wizard of Oz as I believe this was one of the first fictional books that made me fall in love with literature and it’s forever one of my favorite children books that I will surely read my kids in the future.

PART II – MY GAME OF THRONES.

WOULD YOU WIN OR DIE?

For real now I think I’d die cause I’d move too slow, I wish I could be as cool as Arya or Brienne.

WHAT HOUSE ARE YOU IN?

I took this quiz and apparently I belong to the Lannisters:

Hey, guess what? You’re rich! Congratulations. You can buy all the wine and pleasant company you want, which is very useful as the life of a Lannister isn’t exactly stress-free. You are ambitious, good at politics, and generally loyal to family members, at least in public. But you’re also under a lot of pressure, so when things go wrong, they can go VERY wrong, very quickly. Maybe consider investing in a privy door with a lock?

This was a super fun book tag, I’m looking forward to doing many more.

30 Days Book Challenge: DAY 30!!!!

Ok so this is the final post and frankly, I’m gonna miss doing this. I had a lot of fun and it made me think of so many things that I could write, I consider it really helpful. I know I messed up a little in the days when I was too busy (I swear I was super busy!) and I missed writing on that day but it’s alright, I resumed it. Thank you for understanding, lol.

So here is the final challenge:

Your favorite book of all time

I don’t even know what I should pick. Of course the first thing I thought of was 1984 by George Orwell but I would like to avoid writing about the same books twice in a challenge so I think I’m gonna go with another one of my favorites, TRAINSPOTTING!!!
I’m a huge fan of Trainspotting and I could rewatch the movies constantly. The second one was the perfect addition and I was crazy obsessed with it.

The book was awesome too. It deserves all the fame and even though I only read it after I watched the first movie, I think of all of them being equally amazing.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 29.

A book everyone hated but you liked

Apparently, Sad Girls by Lang Leav got a lot of hate and it kinda surprised me cause that book wasn’t bad at all. I liked it and I thought it was just something else in the young adult romance world. Not only rainbows and sunshine. I prefer her poetry, that’s true, but this book was better than I expected.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 28.

Favorite title of a book

I don’t really have a single favorite but the last one that got me reading it just because I loved the title is The Anatomical Shape of a Heart. Come on, that sounds catchy. I mean, it sounded for me. It’s not your typical ya love story title or book and that’s a big thumbs up from me!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 27.

The most surprising plot twist or ending

One book that I remember shocking me is We Were Liars. It didn’t even pass my mind that such thing might be possible!! I wanted to tell everyone about it and probably go to a therapist to get me out of the shock. Ok it wasn’t that bad but it was very surprising!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 26

A book that changed your opinion about something

I’ve read a book about introverts and their character traits and studies (because obviously I’m a professional introvert and I thought this book would be helpful). It’s called Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking. I learned that it’s ok to be quiet and it’s ok not to be involved in everything possible and it’s ok to take time off to recharge. Don’t let people make you feel like being an introvert is a sickness. You’re good!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 25

A character that you can relate to the most

This one’s pretty hard. I sometimes feel like I can relate to some characters but most of the time I don’t think about it but I remember a conversation I’ve had with one of my friends when we were in the Jenny Han fever and I think I can relate to Lara Jean. Not her story or anything like that but my friend could also relate to her too. I felt like if me and her had a baby it would be Lara Jean lol.

Also I can’t ever forget about Min in Why We Broke Up. I could also relate to her and her feelings.

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 24.

A book that you wish more people would’ve read

World War 2 + holocaust + women+ concentration camp= If This is a Woman: Inside Ravensbruck- Hitler’s Concentration Camp for Women.

I don’t care how many books you’ve read until now about the holocaust or anything similar to it if you haven’t read this one. I’ve been shocked and speechless. It truly is long but I promise you won’t get bored. Every little paragraph has interesting information and Sarah just knew how to write it to catch the reader. I can’t even express the crazy things the women had to go through in the concentration camps and all the horrors they had to suffer.

It is truly sad and it’s hard to believe that it has been real but it’s so worth it!

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 23.

A book you wanted to read for a long time but you haven’t

I’m thinking about Catch 22 for such a long time, when I see it on shelves or I hear somebody mentioning it I just wanna read it so bad but I don’t ever start it and I don’t know why. I always find another book to read and then the process repeats. I hope one day I’ll start it at last and let you know how I feel about it.

Have you read it?

30 Days Book Challenge: Day 22.

A book that makes you cry

I didn’t have to think too much about which one it is since I remember how destroyed I felt, I’m looking at you, We Were Liars!!

I still remember laying in bed on one side and my tears were falling on my pillow and I was just amazed and in love with it but super dramatic too. I went downstairs and grabbed a piece of toast with jam and I just ate it and thought about it for a long time lol. It’s funny now when I think about it but back then it was the shock of the shocks of the shocks I guess. Loved it.
