Oh man you cannot dislike this one, Oskar is such an adorable character!
I didn’t expect it to affect me at all, but it did. After finishing it my heart felt heavy. You don’t always get to read a book about a tragic event such as 9/11 to actually represent life after the event, the loss and the memories especially through such a great plot and alternating chapters and different points of view. The pictures in the book also played an important role, they really introduced me into the story.
It was so beautiful going with Oskar through his journey just so he can spend a little more time with his dad, just to feel closer to him…(his father died in the 9/11 tragedy).
This is that kind of book that doesn’t leave your mind and if you haven’t read it, you should read it as soon as possible because this book deserves to be known and to be appreciated.
